Sweet fruit chips and pastille “Vitamin Wave”

Marharyta Klets, along with her family, owns fertile land in the Kramatorsk district of Donetsk. For over 10 years, they have been engaged in agriculture, planting wheat and corn, as well as growing fruits and vegetables for sale. Now, the family has an ambitious plan—to produce tasty and nutritious sweets from the fruits they cultivate.

Before the full-scale war, the Klets family focused on growing grains. However, in March 2022, the war forced them to leave their farm for a year. During this time, they did not cultivate the land. Upon their return, they started planting strawberries. In the first summer, it yielded abundantly. This success led them to the idea of growing and processing fruits into delicious and healthy products. And what could be tastier and healthier than fruit chips and pastille?

Fruit chips (dried fruits) and pastille are natural products that preserve valuable vitamins and minerals. Children can enjoy them like candies without harming their dental health or overall well-being.

Marharyta and her family are very grateful for the training received in the SEED 2.0 project. The new knowledge acquired in the lessons is being used in real life to develop their business and, in turn, their village, support the military, and help displaced families with children. The grant funds from the SEED 2.0 winners are planned to be spent on professional equipment for making pastille from homegrown fruits.
