It’s nice to see how the program is evolving. Although our business idea is a participant in SEED for the second time, we have enriched and improved it. Training once again gave us the impetus to reboot the business, analyze, and implement creative ideas.

Quail production

The Kryvyshchenky family launched their family business in quail product manufacturing back in 2008. Gradually, step by step, the enterprise entered the top three leaders in the industry, and the brand “Charivnyi Ptakh” became known in all corners of Ukraine.

But everything changed on February 28, 2022. Russian occupiers entered the village and then the territory of the enterprise. They deployed equipment and personnel there. Russian forces looted and destroyed everything on the farm’s premises. After Ukrainian defenders liberated the village, only 3% of the 100,000 quail population remained on the enterprise. Restoring the previous production capacity has proven to be a challenging task.
However, quails are magical birds. They begin laying eggs at just 45 days old, while a chicken starts laying at 150 days. Serhii Kryvyshchenko and his wife Viktoriia tirelessly work and believe that they will be able to restore their former production just as quickly.

Comparing chicken and quail eggs, the latter receives the “palm of primacy” confidently, as it contains twice as much vitamin A, B, and D, and four times more iron, phosphorus, and calcium. In addition, quail eggs are rich in molybdenum, potassium, copper, sodium, and cobalt, as well as polyunsaturated fatty acids and carotenoids.

The Kryvyshchenky participate in the SEED competition for the second time and win for the second time! “It’s nice to see how the program is evolving. Although our business idea is a participant in SEED for the second time, we have enriched and improved it. Training once again gave us the impetus to reboot the business, analyze, and implement creative ideas,” noted Serhii.
