Rose jam «SUB ROSА»

Roses are not just beautiful but incredibly delicious, as proven by the culinary endeavors of the couple Solomiia Bratakh and Ihor Reva.

They specialize in crafting rose jam, using a unique variety of roses they cultivate themselves.

However, their culinary creativity extends beyond this. The family is also involved in cheesemaking, and their craft cheeses pair perfectly with their rose jam.

While the official production was launched in 2019, their kitchen experiments started much earlier. The couple now has regular customers throughout Ukraine to whom they dispatch their craft products made in the village in the Lviv region.

The war has had an impact on their work: “We were not prepared for a full-scale invasion. Many of our clients went abroad, the stores we collaborated with closed. There was no fuel to travel for raw materials, and in winter, there was no electricity to operate equipment and heat the premises,” recounts Solomiia.

However, learning and development help propel forward even in the most challenging times. This led the couple to join the SEED 2.0 project. “I especially liked how our lecturers and mentors cheered for us and efficiently conveyed information. The grant from SEED 2.0 will help the entrepreneurs acquire additional equipment for their garden tractor, optimizing land cultivation. This will save time for more personally fulfilling aspects of their work: planting roses and producing jam.
