Olga Kadikova

I liked the training. I gained a lot of important knowledge in a short period.

I understood the direction of the development of our business, saw additional opportunities, and improved my leadership qualities. The professional and empathetic SEED 2.0 team, organized lectures, and friendly communication have been fruitful.

Nut manor

The Kadikovy family resides in Obukhiv, but 8 years ago, they decided to purchase a plot of land for a bee farm in their ancestral homeland – in Kirovohrad region, on the banks of the Southern Buh River. Walnuts grow well in this region. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Kadikovy purchased a processing line for walnuts and rented a facility. However, the pandemic closed the borders, putting the walnut processing on hold.

In 2021, before the start of the full-scale war, Olha joined the women’s project “Kryla” with the support of Pact Ukraine, Convictus Ukraine, and the Canadian embassy. On February 24, 2022, she was supposed to attend the final training on business plan writing in Kyiv. However, the full-scale war began.
When Olha left Kyiv with her children from Kyiv region to Kirovohrad region, she realized that she wanted to leave a worthy legacy for her daughters – a project beneficial to society, related to working with the land. Already in the summer, Olha knew that she wanted to plant her walnut orchard. And last fall, the family planted 68 pecans and 40 hazelnuts with black truffle mycorrhiza. This fall, they planted almonds.

The nut orchard is a channeling of anger from the war into something positive. When the enemy wants to take away land from Ukrainians, we nurture it even more, work with it, and unite with each other. And tirelessly, we learn to use our skills to help the country recover.
